Welcome to the Michigan Antique Radio Club, or MARC. MARC was officially founded October 19, 1985 at the Dillon Inn (now the Hampton Inn) in Lansing, Michigan. In the years since its founding of the club, our membership has grown over 700. While most MARC members live within the Great Lakes region of the U.S. the organization also is represented throughout this country as well as Canada, Europe and Australia. The organization holds three one day swap meets with programming and competitive display presentations as well as a three day convention meet, EXTRAVAGANZA. MARC also publishes The Michigan Antique Radio Chronicle, which is included with membership.
Our meets are held at various sites throughout Michigan, allowing more members to attend at least one MARC meet each year in their area. EXTRAVAGANZA, our annual multi-day convention, is held in Lansing each July and draws collectors from all over the U.S., Canada, and the world. Our other swap meets are held indoors, commonly at a major hotel. They consist of a flea market, equipment contests, silent and donation auctions, and lots of hospitality. Typically, these swap meets last half a day.
